

Sr Developer
Salary: $49.00 to $53.00 hourly
Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr Developer in Hanover, Maryland. In this role, you will be heavily involved in the development and enhancement of our loyalty member benefit products.
Responsibilities Include
• Implementing new technologies to improve our current processes, security, and performance.
• Collaborating with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop strategies that align with business requirements.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development.
• Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, identifying and implementing solutions.
• Actively participating in the development of coding standards and adhering to best practices and security guidelines.
• Working closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions align with long-term enterprise growth needs.
• Supporting the development and integration of DevOps principles into all aspects of development.
• Proactively identifying and resolving potential issues, ensuring IT hygiene for loyalty applications.
• Implementing any new security standards required to protect customer data.
• Resolving production issues, providing bug fixes, and addressing identified problems in application code.
• Following Agile and Scrum software development methodologies during project development and communication.
Requirements
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in design and benefit function implementation.
• Solid knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Oracle, and cloud technologies.
• Understands and applies industry's best practices.
• Expertise in Java, research analysis, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clear specifications and proficient in CSS.
• Experience with GitHub, Web App development, and the Sprint Framework.
• Proficiency in REST API and various other frameworks.
• Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent field experience.
• Understanding of fundamental principles in software development.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet project deadlines.
• Experience in application development and laptop hardware maintenance.
