Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Modeler with strong expertise in Erwin to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling, designing star schemas, and working with logical & physical data models. This role requires collaboration with business analysts, database developers, and data architects to structure and optimize data models for business intelligence and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize logical and physical data models using Erwin.
• Design Star Schemas and other dimensional modeling techniques for data warehousing.
• Work closely with data architects, database administrators, and business teams to ensure efficient data structures.
• Implement best practices for data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Collaborate with ETL teams to ensure seamless data integration and transformation.
• Optimize database performance by analyzing and refining existing data models.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers and development teams.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

✔ 6+ years of experience in data modeling

✔ Strong expertise with Erwin Data Modeler (Logical & Physical modeling)

✔ Experience designing Star Schemas for data warehousing

✔ Proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques

✔ Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments

✔ Strong knowledge of metadata management & data governance

✔ Ability to work onsite in Plano, TX or San Antonio, TX

Nice-to-Have Skills:

➕ Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or other cloud-based databases

➕ Knowledge of NoSQL databases and big data technologies

➕ Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue

➕ Understanding of data security and compliance best practices
