Title: Report Developer – Tech Lead Level(PowerBI Technical Lead)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (3 days’ on-site)

Duration: Contract through end of 2025, likely extension into 2026

I addition to the PowerBI Technical Lead role we have another opening on our SOW for Data Reporting Team.

The team has PowerBI reports but they have created several custom Dashboards in Angular with Python on back-end.

They need someone who has strong Angular/Typescript experience along with API and Python skills can help produce additional reports/dashboards as well as look at existing reports/dashboards and determine how they can make them more efficient.

I had to create/customize the below job description, but this is a good guide.

We are seeking a talented Report Developer with expertise in Angular, TypeScript and Python experience to join our team and help transition our client's reporting infrastructure from PowerBI to a custom-built solution.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain dynamic, interactive dashboards and reports using Angular for the front-end.
• Design and implement robust backend services using Python and SQL.
• Perform data manipulation and analysis using Pandas to prepare data for reporting and visualization.
• Integrate data from various sources and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end.
• Implement data visualization techniques using libraries such as Chart.js, D3.js, or ngx-charts.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the solution.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Reports Developer with a strong focus on Angular, Typescript and Python.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript and Angular.
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience with web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Pandas.
• Familiarity with database systems and ORM frameworks like SQL / SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Chart.js, D3.js, ngx-charts).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Qualifications:
• Experience with PowerBI or other BI tools.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and working with Data Science, Machine Learning organizations.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
