

Python/SQL/Checkpoints Programmer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Python/SQL Programmer to support our pharmaceutical client in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize data-driven applications, ensuring seamless integration and processing of critical business and scientific data. This role requires expertise in Python development, SQL database management, and ETL processes, with a strong understanding of data analytics and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Python-based applications to automate data processing, analysis, and reporting.
• Design, optimize, and manage SQL databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and query performance tuning.
• Implement ETL pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to integrate and process large datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by following best practices in database management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to Python scripts and SQL queries.
• Support documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts within the team.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in Python programming (Pandas, NumPy, Flask/Django is a plus).
• Strong expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization).
• Experience with ETL development and data pipeline automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data services.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau is a plus).
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
