Oracle Order Management Specialist

Location: Onsite in Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Oracle Order Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle Order Management systems to support the end-to-end order processing lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, and IT, to ensure seamless order fulfillment, accurate data management, and system efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

System Configuration and Maintenance
• Configure Oracle Order Management modules to support business requirements.
• Maintain system settings, user roles, and access privileges.
• Manage master data related to customers, pricing, and products.

Order Processing Support
• Oversee the end-to-end order management process, including order creation, validation, booking, and fulfillment.
• Monitor order flow, resolve discrepancies, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify and troubleshoot system issues related to order management.

Process Optimization
• Analyze existing workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with business units to identify gaps and implement process improvements.

Reporting and Analytics
• Generate and analyze reports related to order status, performance metrics, and inventory levels.
• Provide insights to stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with supply chain, finance, and IT teams to align system functionality with business needs.
• Support integration efforts between Oracle Order Management and other systems (e.g., inventory, shipping, and financial modules).

Training and Documentation
• Develop user manuals, training materials, and best practice guidelines.
• Provide training and support to end-users and business teams.

Project Participation
• Contribute to Oracle system upgrades, migrations, and enhancement projects.
• Perform system testing, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and ensure smooth deployments.

What you need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Oracle Order Management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Fusion applications, particularly in Order Management modules.
• Familiarity with related Oracle modules such as Inventory, Shipping, and Receivables.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of order-to-cash (O2C) processes and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with system integration and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a plus.

Other preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle certifications in Order Management or related modules.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Order Management.
• Knowledge of Agile or other project management methodologies.
