

Microsoft Power BI Technical Lead
Job Title: BI Lead – Azure Fabric & Power BI (Exposure to Oracle OTBI, BIP reporting and Oracle Fusion Reporting)
Location- Santa Clara, DAY1 onsite
Job description-
We are seeking a highly skilled BI Lead with expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Services to drive the business intelligence strategy and data analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise BI solutions while ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Oracle ERP/Fusion reporting experience is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the BI strategy and implementation using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Services.
• Design and develop end-to-end BI solutions, including data modeling, data pipelines, and visualization dashboards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Implement and manage Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Fabric Data Warehouse for data processing and transformation.
• Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports with a focus on usability and performance.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance in BI solutions by implementing best practices.
• Guide and mentor the BI team, ensuring efficient development and deployment of reports and analytics solutions.
• Monitor and improve BI system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Work with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
• Exposure to Oracle OTBI, BIP reporting and Oracle Fusion Reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Warehousing.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Dataverse, etc.).
• Expertise in DAX, SQL, and Power Query (M language) for Power BI development.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.) and performance optimization in BI solutions.
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of Azure Machine Learning, AI, and Cognitive Services is a plus.
• Experience with role-based access control (RBAC), row-level security (RLS), and data privacy policies in BI environments.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team while managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer certification.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and working in DevOps CI/CD environments
