Markets Operations Analyst Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Operations Analyst is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and clients. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client transactions.

What you’ll do:
• Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
• Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
• Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you:
• Relevant experience preferred
• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of macros
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in data analysis

Education:
• GCSE educated grades A-C minimum, including Maths and English

Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy.

This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Client while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
