Job: Mainframe Developer

Location: Westlake, TX

Visa: USC, GC, GC EAD, H4 EAD

Job Type: W2

12+months contract

Must have VSAM and DB2 exp

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
• Demonstrated support on a critical mainframe environment, using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files, as well as Easytrieve
• Experience in mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning, including ways to reduce I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs, using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector
• Experience in navigating in an Oracle database environment for triage purposes File format and comparison using File-AID; version management using Endeavor; debugging and unit testing using Intertest and Abend-AID; and job scheduling using Control-M Ability to debug and reproduce issues in lower pre-production environments
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting results While not required, knowledge of ETL, Informatica, Java, Python, or other distributed languages is a plus

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience 6+ years of proven ability in mainframe development and support
• Experience working in a scaled agile delivery model Investment/financial services experience is highly desired
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience working with development teams in onshore-offshore model
