Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Ann Arbor, MI (3 days onsite)
Note: Coding test will be done and need local folks only.
What you are good at
· Evangelize DevOps mindset and solve problems through systematization.
· Good analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to identify partners, assess their needs and manage their expectations through effective communication.
· Desire to provide excellent client service and a service-focused communication style.
· Desire to solve problems systemically by looking for root causes and identifying ways to reduce support needs of our clients through automation, documentation, and training.
· Highly curious nature and ability to learn through multiple methods, including independent research and self-study.
· Become a subject-matter specialist for a wide subset of tools, including the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), Atlassian stack augmentations as well as GitHub Enterprise and other state-of-the-art build/test automation tools(Teamcity, Gradle, Maven)
· Provide hands on customization, integrations, and custom application/script development. (Bash, Python and Groovy)
· Evaluate various tools, applications, and plug-ins to ensure our customer needs are met.
· Identify tools’ reliability and availability improvements, establish, and build solutions to continue to drive an improved experience.
· Implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting of tools, env and infrastructure availability, and performance.
· Participate in on-call and after hours support as needed and able to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
What you have
· 1-2 years of object-oriented programming experience. (Java, Python, C++, etc. )
· Atlassian Tools and Script runner development(Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
· CI/CD tools Experience (Teamcity, Artifactory, GitHub, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes)
· Setup and support security scans for the codebase (Veracode, Fortify, BlackDuck and SonarQube)
· Proficiency with Linux, Shell Scripting and Python
· Automation Experience using Ansible Playbooks.
· Experience with environment provisioning and deployment automation (Salt/Chef/Puppet)
· GCP, Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud platform experience is nice to have.
· Knowledge on working with Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres DB.
· Experience with logging/tools monitoring (AppDynamics, Splunk) and at least 2 yrs of experience in writing splunk queries to setup dashboards for tools monitoring.
· Knowledge of networking, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers and IP routing
· BS in Computer Science
