Data Warehouse Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Analyst to develop and support applications utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, Unix, and Informatica. This role involves providing technical expertise, ensuring smooth operations of batch processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Understand Existing Systems:
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to understand the Texas Home Acquisition data model
• Document existing functionality and associated business rules

Production Support
• Monitor and manage batch processes, including troubleshooting and resolving job failures promptly
• Collaborate with the Control-M off-shore team for re-run/re-start instructions of failed jobs
• Perform support tasks during off-hours, including weekdays and weekends, as necessary

Development And Workflow Management
• Assist in the development and enhancement of Oracle PL/SQL applications
• Create and maintain Informatica workflows to support business requirements

Collaboration And Communication
• Build strong relationships with IT groups, Operations, Project Management, and other business teams
• Communicate status updates effectively and escalate issues proactively

Problem-Solving and Task Management:
• Use analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant business discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of experience in application development
• 7+ years of experience with Oracle 11g or higher
• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience
• 5+ years of experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
• 5+ years of experience working in a Data Warehouse environment
• 2+ years of experience with Collibra

Preferred Skills
• Experience with Oracle SQL Developer or PL/SQL Developer tools
• Knowledge of Power BI and SAP systems
• Proficiency in Python (preferred but not required)
• Expertise with Informatica Power Center
• Familiarity with deregulated utilities businesses, especially in Texas (a plus)
• Strong PL/SQL is key and Informatica is a nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
