Our client is seeking a Data Management Metrics Engineer in Morrisville, NC.

Are you passionate about how an organization manages their data ? Do you strive to provide a comprehensive set of metrics that underpin GDMO’s remit ? Can you work effectively with remote teams within a global organization? Do you want to work closely with IT and Business teams and leadership across functions to help GDMO’s contribute towards the organization’s data-driven culture?

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with GDMO and BD/GF stakeholders to understand metrics requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and maintain PowerBI semantic models and reports to represent required metrics cleanly and accurately, adopting industry and internal standards where appropriate
• Ensure the quality and reliability of the semantic models and reports by applying the organization’s digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues in GDMO and BD/GF DMOs to enable a self-service culture
• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with our aligned IT colleagues to ensure that the Metrics service offering meets the needs of the stakeholders
• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind

Skills & Requirements
• Advanced PowerBI knowledge including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Proficient in creating complex semantic models aligned with large datasets, defining relationships and optimizing performance
• Strong skills in designing intuitive and interactive dashboards and reports using best practice data visualization concepts to effectively communicate insights in a user-friendly manner
• A creative thinker and problem solver with good communication skills
• Someone with excellent analytical skills, who is collaborative and able to work under pressure to deliver to deadlines
• A highly driven and motivated individual with a can–do attitude and with a desire to drive change in our organization
