Role: Data Engineer CDP Location: NYC, NY-Onsite Contract: 6 Months plus
Role:
This person will be responsible for supporting the customization, development and management of the CDP, including data cleaning and quality assurance, documentation, and data integrations.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Data Analytics & Integrations, the CDP Engineer will assist with troubleshooting and ensuring that the CDP is utilized as effectively as possible.
This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in delivering personalized customer experience in a dynamic media environment where digital content is the backbone of our operations.
Data Engineer, Customer Data Platform (CDP)
PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT & MAINTENANCE
Support the customization, development, and management of the CDP to facilitate seamless data collection, integration, deduping, and segmentation across multiple channels
Maintain platform pipeline of real-time data activation to enhance customer engagement and personalization strategies
Ensure data quality by implementing validation and data cleaning procedures
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to CDP data pipelines
Integrate internal and third-party data sources, ensuring accurate, scalable data flows
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, minimizing disruption
Execute CDP product roadmap as established by our partners in Ad Sales, Marketing, Research, and Digital.
Qualifications
Strong data engineering skill set with a minimum 3 years of experience in product management, ideally with a focus on customer data platforms
Experience working with CDPs such as Segment, Hightouch, or Rudderstack.
Strong understanding of data management principles, including data segmentation, identity resolution, and customer journey orchestration
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
Understanding of consumer-facing businesses and data fluency to drive customer relevance
Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science)
Experience with SQL and understanding of API integrations is highly desirable
