Job Responsibilities:
As a Data Analyst you will play a critical role in establishing a robust data insights and measurement program. You will partner with program managers and cross-functional teams to understand the current landscape and drive data-driven decisions that enhance accessibility and inclusion on Pixel products.
This role goes beyond traditional data analysis to directly influence how our products are built and measured, impacting user equity, product penetration, and user sentiment.
You will be responsible for creating and updating metrics that demonstrate the impact of accessibility features on growth, adoption, sentiment, and usage by people with disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Data Collection and Integration: Identify, collect, and integrate data from multiple sources to create a holistic view of the Pixel accessibility experience. This includes:
Engineering Metrics: Partner with feature teams to collect key engineering metrics related to 1P Pixel Accessibility features (e.g., Guided Frame, Magnifier) and Android Accessibility features.
User Study Insights: Analyze data from planned user studies leveraging data points like Net Promoter Score, Customer Satisfaction, and key drivers of user experience for people with disabilities.
Competitor Analysis: Analyze data from competitor studies to identify key gaps, opportunities, and best practices in accessibility features.
User Insights from Other Sources: Integrate user insights from customer support interactions, key disability organizations, UX co-design workshops, social media / Google Play store sentiment, and other relevant sources.
Metrics Development and Measurement: Define and develop key performance indicators and metrics to measure impact and track progress. Potential examples include measuring changes in brand sentiment, feature usage, tech reviews, and customer complaints
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze integrated data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to accessibility feature usage, user experience, and product performance. Conduct statistical analysis, data mining, and other appropriate techniques to extract actionable insights.
Reporting and Communication: Develop compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate data insights and recommendations to various stakeholders, including program managers, product managers, engineers, and leadership. Visual displays of quantitative information will be crucial for effective communication.
Program Development and Scaling: Help develop and implement a scalable data insights and measurement program that can be applied across various Pixel products and features. This involves establishing methodologies, building tools, and creating repeatable processes.
Collaboration and Influence: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, UX design, research) to influence product development and design based on data-driven insights. Advocate for the needs of users with disabilities and champion inclusive design principles.

Qualifications:Minimum qualifications:
You must meet these minimum qualifications to apply for this job
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.)
3+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or a related quantitative field.
Experience querying and manipulating data using SQL or similar database query languages, extracting insights/ trends, & creating compelling presentations to influence product teams.
Preferred qualifications:
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable
Experience working with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata, MATLAB).
Experience designing, implementing, and scaling data measurement programs for product or user experience outcomes.
Experience with accessibility, inclusion, or user research related to users with disabilities or underrepresented groups.
Experience in analyzing engineering metrics related to software or hardware products.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile product development environment.
Highly collaborative and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product management, UX research, design).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data insights clearly and concisely to diverse audiences (including senior leadership).
Ability to work through ambiguity to develop creative solutions and drive initiatives to completion with minimal guidance.
