Team dynamic:

Fast paced - will sometimes transition from one project to another quickly, and will be working with all areas of the business (storefront, warehouse, etc.)

Hours: Daytime EST business hours

Assessment: 5 questions with 3 minutes to answer each, coding test (must code in Python), and a game

Interview process: 2 interviews - 1st round video screening with Team Lead or HM, 2nd round panel interview

Duration: 1 year with opportunity to extend

Job Description

This role will be reporting up to the Sr. Manager of Analytics and Asset Protection. Reports are seen at all levels of associates. The team is looking for someone who can build Power BI reports from scratch using multiple data sources that could potentially include databases, Excel, flat files, and/or other structured or unstructured data sources. Additionally, this person should be very comfortable with writing Data Analytics Expression (DAX) queries, creating relationships, and be familiar with using Power Query in Power BI. This person should be very comfortable with writing complex SQL queries (i.e. joins, nested queries, recursive queries, etc.). The team will provide guidance on the existing reporting, how data is currently set up, and how to integrate into Power BI Reporting.The team is also looking for someone who can maintain and update existing Power BI Reports.

Must have skills and experience (1-3 years):

Power BI - Should be able to Develop reports from scratch and update & maintain existing Power BI Reports

SQL (must be able to write complex queries)

MS Excel (must be proficient)

R (if not R, Python is ok)

Statistical analytical skills – must be able to analyze, interpret, and explain data to various audiences

Database knowledge - not just pulling data, but creating links to data so that all metrics that they use are available

Automate existing reporting methods in order to make data more accessible

Work closely with the Analytics and Asset Protection team in order to determine what reports are needed and how they can be modified

Create links to data so that all metrics needed are available

Utilize available technologies to re-engineer all reporting
