Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst / Business Analyst to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in analyzing business data, generating insights, and supporting decision-making processes. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities to drive data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to provide actionable business insights.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Utilize Python for data analysis, visualization, and automation of reporting processes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Build dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to track key performance metrics.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, and operations to optimize business processes.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SQL – ability to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and work with large datasets.
• Strong Python skills – experience with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
• Understanding of machine learning models and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
