Data Analyst

Mission Statement:
The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable data insights by curating, analyzing, and presenting data using BI tools, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Day to Day:
Gather and analyze business requirements, leading requirements sessions with stakeholders, and translating them into user stories within JIRA for Agile sprints.
Develop and execute complex SQL queries (Teradata preferred) to extract, transform, and load data for analysis and reporting within BI tools.
Perform data profiling, data analysis, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data used for reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, develop insightful reports and dashboards, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Contribute to data management initiatives, including data lineage/metadata documentation, data controls implementation, and data defect remediation.
Must have:
Demonstrated experience in business requirements gathering, data analysis, and leading requirements sessions.
Strong SQL skills, particularly with Teradata SQL, including experience writing complex queries (joins, unions, sub-queries).
Experience with data profiling, data analytics, and data quality assurance.
Experience writing business requirements as JIRA stories and working in Agile Scrum & Kanban environments.
Experience with data management concepts, including data lineage, metadata, and data controls.
Plusses:
GCP Cloud experience (they will be starting their migration soon).
Python experience.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $51.11 - $53.00 per hour
Expected hours: 53 per week
