Systems Engineer- Greenwood Village, CO

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the deployment, management, and automation of AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS infrastructure, Python and Terraform automation, and experience in site reliability engineering (SRE). This role involves managing customer tickets, improving system reliability, and optimizing cloud costs.

Must Have Skills
• 3+ years of professional systems engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure management, including EC2 architectures
• Proficiency in automating infrastructure as code (IaC) pipelines using Python and Terraform
• Experience with monitoring and observability within AWS
• Background in provisioning and de-provisioning AWS resources
• Strong troubleshooting skills for managing tickets and resolving system issues

Nice to Have Skills:
• Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in AWS
• Experience with scalable and resilient architecture design
• Knowledge of AWS cloud-native services and tools
• Exposure to site reliability engineering (SRE) practices

Day To Day Responsibilities
• Provide Tier 1-2 support by managing incoming customer tickets and resolving system incidents (25%)
• Improve system reliability and performance through automation and SRE practices (50%)
• Optimize AWS cloud costs by analyzing usage and implementing cost-saving measures (25%)
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, developing automated responses to reduce manual intervention
• Support automated deployment and management of AWS cloud environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
