Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant

Salary: $47.50 to $55.00 hourly

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant in the machinery manufacturing industry, based in Eatontown, New Jersey. As a BI Consultant, you will take on the vital role of developing and implementing dashboards, conducting data analysis, and providing actionable insights to enhance our business operations.

Responsibilities
• Develop insightful dashboards to provide a comprehensive view of inventory across all fields
• Create metrics on our shipping system data for individual items
• Conduct analysis and prepare reports on quotes and sales of items per geographic territory
• Breakdown data by product type and customer type for comprehensive reporting
• Utilize Atlassian Jira, BusinessObjects Technologies, and Cognos Business Intelligence in data analysis and reporting tasks
• Employ data visualization techniques and Maps API to present data in an easily understandable format
• Conduct AB Testing to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our business processes
• Adhere to Agile Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
• Utilize analytics to provide actionable business intelligence
• Handle ad hoc reporting tasks as required.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of BusinessObjects Technologies.
• Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence.
• Ability to create compelling Data Visualizations.
• Familiarity with Maps API.
• Proven track record in AB Testing.
• Expertise in Ad Hoc Reporting.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum practices.
• Demonstrated skills in Analytics.
• Deep understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) principles and practices.
