

Azure Databricks Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's direct client is in need of an Azure Databricks Engineer to work on-site in either Branchville, NJ or Charlotte, NC 3 days a week. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
The Azure Databricks Engineer will be esponsible for building and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Databricks, with expertise in PySpark/Python, SQL, and experience with legacy systems like Netezza and Informatica. They will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data solutions to support the client's ongoing business needs related to legacy data migration and new development.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Databricks
• Utilize PySpark/Python for data transformation, processing, and analysis
• Optimize Databricks workloads for performance and scalability
• Implement Databricks best practices, and utilize Databricks tools such as Delta Lake, and Databricks workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience
• Highly skilled and experienced Azure Databricks Engineer to join our client's existing data engineering team
• Proven experience as an Azure Databricks Engineer
• Strong proficiency in PySpark/Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and its ecosystem
• Experience with Netezza and Informatica
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with Azure suite of cloud-based data platforms
• Experience writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis
• Using and optimizing SQL queries for performance
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
