AWS DevOps Engineer

• Must be willing and able to work fully onsite in downtown Dallas, TX.

• 12 month contract on W2 with extensions

Compensation: $45-$53 per hour, with flexibility depending on candidates level of experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of software engineering experience, utilizing Java and Python
• Proficiency working in large codebases using Git
• Proficiency with Linux environments
• Proficiency with Bash or Python scripting and automation
• Experience utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or similar for configuration management
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra)
• Experience working in a public cloud environment (AWS and GCP preferred)
• Experience working in an Agile/Lean methodology
• Experience operating with a Dev-Sec-Ops mindset

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Docker containers
• Experience running containers on Kubernetes (on-prem and/or in cloud)
• Experience using feature flagging tools like LaunchDarkly or Split.io
• Experience utilizing AWS CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK

Insight Global is hiring a DevOps Engineer for our Fortune 100 Investment Banking client. You will be working on a substantial effort to modernize their payments platform from on-prem to scalable services designed natively for operating in the public cloud. You will be working to automate software delivery pipelines and release management. You will be a part of building developer friendly infrastructure and tooling. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of modern, cloud-oriented software development and the processes, tools, and infrastructure needed to enable CI/CD. This role requires work onsite at our client’s downtown Dallas location.
