Job Summary
We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer V to help define and implement a secure cloud architecture within our public cloud environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced cloud engineer with a strong foundation in modern cloud practices, automation, and scalable architecture. This individual will be responsible for building cloud-native services and supporting the organization's cloud transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in delivering AWS cloud strategies at scale, including infrastructure, machine learning, and artificial intelligence platform services.
• Leverage Python, Golang, and Terraform to promote infrastructure as code and accelerate the cloud adoption program.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services to support application teams and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Support application teams in integrating cloud-based AI platforms to enhance internal customer experiences.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for internal teams and customers.
• Provide technical support during audits and examinations conducted by regulatory agencies, external auditors, and internal auditors.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their technical skills.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills And Experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang coding languages.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and building complex Terraform modules for AWS cloud.
• Expertise in AWS organizations and policy guardrails (SCP, AWS Config).
• Hands-on experience with AWS native networking services such as TGW, VPC, DXGW, NLB, GWLB, and cloud DNS.
• Experience deploying production applications into cloud environments.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and scripting.
• Familiarity with Git, AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline, serverless technologies, containerized workloads, and Jenkins orchestration is a plus.
• Experience with AI foundation models such as Claude, Llama 2, Titan, Jurassic, GPT, and Amazon OpenSearch is a plus.
• AWS certification(s) required.
• Financial industry experience is a plus.
