Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and proficient Tableau Developer with a strong background in data visualization and business intelligence to join our team for a long-term project in New York. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau and related data analytics technologies—candidates with less experience will not be considered. This role demands close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to create insightful and actionable dashboards and reports. This is a hybrid position requiring three (3) days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, design, and maintain complex, interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
Work directly with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements.
Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Integrate Tableau with various data sources such as SQL databases, cloud data platforms, and APIs.
Enforce best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, and security.
Conduct rigorous data validation and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.
Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Tableau development, dashboarding, and visualization—this is a strict requirement.
Strong proficiency in SQL, data querying, and data analysis.
Extensive experience working with large datasets and implementing efficient data models.
In-depth knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, enterprise-level Tableau solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights effectively.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
