

Senior Azure Developer
DataStaff, Inc is currently seeking a Senior Azure Developer for a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA
• This position is remote
Responsibilities:
• Work with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal staff and constituents.
• Responsible for analysis, design, and coding for a new application.
• Will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and development work.
• Works with the Business Analyst, Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements.
• May also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers.
Knowledge and Experience:
• The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services.
• Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required.
• The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
• Be comfortable working with C#, .NET Framework & Core, MVC & WebForms, Web Services; SQL, Git SCM, and Javascript.
• Must be able to work without assistance, provide leadership for others, and manage highly complex work efforts.
• Extensive industry experience is required with advanced education highly desireable.
• Uses mobile and responsive design practices, so a familiarity with these methodologies would be a plus.
Required Skills:
• At least 6 years of documented Azure experience is required, with strong ability to work without assistance on complex work efforts
• 6 Years - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• 6 Years - Proficiency in C#, >NET, Python, Java, or Node.js
• 6 Years - Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep for provisioning cloud resources
• 6 Years - Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub actions
• 6 Years - Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps
• 6 Years - Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and storage solutions
• 6 Years - Understanding of identity management (Azure AD, RBAC, OAuth, etc.) networking security, and compliance best practices
• 6 Years - Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with API management
• 6 Years - Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• 6 Years - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
• 6 Years - Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
• 6 Years - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture
Desired Skills:
• 6 Years - Azure certifications like AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable
