Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Python/Spark Engineer in Merrimack, NH. Duties:

   • Enterprise application development (design, development, testing, deployment, and support)

   • Database Development

   • Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment

   • Data modeling design (Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault and Operational Data Stores)

   • AWS Cloud environments

   • Containerization and Orchestration technologies

   • Application web server technologies

   • Java development (microservices, Lambda, database applications)

   • Python and/or PySQL development

   • Working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment

Requirements

   • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

   • AWS Developer certification

   • 5+ years in Enterprise application development (design, development, testing, deployment, and support)

   • 5+ years of development experience in Database Development

   • 5+ years of Java development experience (microservices, Lambda, database applications)

   • 3+ years of Snowflake experience a strong plus

   • 2+ years of Python and/or PySQL development experience

   • Solid background in developing applications for Snowflake, Oracle RDS, or similar

   • Strong data background in terms of Data modeling design (Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault and Operational Data Stores)

   • Strong hands-on solid understanding in Scripting

   • Knowledge of various ETL tools including AWS Glue

   • Hands on experience with API development supporting large scale, continuously available Enterprise class platforms

   • Experience developing in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM)

   • Experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment

   • Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions

   • Passion and intellectually curious to learn new technologies and implement robust, scalable solutions

   • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

   • Experience and/or certification with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure is a plus

   • Unix shell scripting experience a plus

   • Control-M experience a strong plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
