DevOps Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Azure Devops Engineer for a contract job with a client in Cary, NC (Hybrid role 3 days onsite 2 days remote). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Azure cloud services, automation scripting, and a collaborative mindset, ready to work in a hybrid setup.
Rate Range: $50 - $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Azure Devops Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Collaborate across teams to support deployment automation and infrastructure provisioning
• Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell, YAML, ARM templates, or Terraform
• Administer and optimize build/release pipelines and Azure DevOps repos, agents, and environments
• Monitor system performance and perform root cause analysis of deployment failures
• Enforce security and compliance within the DevOps process
• Promote and support DevOps culture, tools, and best practices
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in a DevOps role with Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps tools – Repos, Pipelines, Boards, and Artifacts
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code – ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with solid SDLC knowledge
