

Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire position with one of our direct clients based in Grand Prairie, TX (Hybrid 1 day/week onsite). The ideal candidate should have solid experience with Python and SQL, SAP ECC, HANA, or S/4
Rate Range: $55-65/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description
Required skills:
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with SAP ECC, HANA, or S/4
• Knowledge of the supply chain domain
• Experience in building ETLs for handling large data volumes (hundreds of GBs)
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git source control
• Ability to write tests for data, applications, and visualizations
• Familiarity with supporting a virtual team
• Experience with Agile development:
• Agile processes (Scrum, sprints, planning)
• Tools like Jira
• Ability to learn new tools quickly
Desired skills:
• Experience with the following tools
• SQL Server
• AWS S3
• OpenShift
• Docker & Kubernetes
• TIBCO Data Virtualization
• Apache Spark
• Ability to optimize queries in TIBCO Data Virtualization
• Experience with CI/CD development
• Proficiency in developing dashboards using Tableau
• Full-stack development skills (frontend, backend, database, REST/SOAP services)
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow
Responsibilities:
• Design data transformations based on customer requirements using SAP HANA data
• Implement ETL pipelines to process SAP ERP data
• Optimize queries for retrieving data from SAP HANA efficiently
• Develop user-friendly reports to visualize supply chain metrics in Tableau
• Provide stakeholder support and address queries
• Troubleshoot query issues and implement optimizations
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team on data warehousing, BI, and reporting
• Ensure data security and compliance with security standards
