• Baer is looking for DevOps Automation Consultant for a 12+ month Federal remote project.
Title: DevOps Automation Consultant
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Description:
• Lead and manage the DevOps automation team to ensure successful implementation of automation strategies.
• Develop and implement effective automation processes for infrastructure, deployment, and application lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and operations, to integrate automation solutions into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency across development and operations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members to foster a high-performing culture.
• Ensure the stability, security, scalability, and reliability of all automation systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve any automation-related issues across environments.
• Stay updated with industry trends and evolving technologies to continuously refine and innovate automation practices.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in DevOps methodologies and automation tools.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Solid experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby to develop custom automation solutions.
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git to manage code and collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and driving results.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure or complex scenarios.
• Experience in leading large-scale automation initiatives within a DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools to ensure the health of automated systems.
• Industry certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert, or similar.
• Security+ Certification is Required
