Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to PGIM Fixed Income Data Strategy by transforming and modernizing the data environment.
Develop and implement data models representing the structure and relationships of data within the organization.
Drive data governance initiatives, including implementing a data catalog, data quality framework, and data lineage.
Monitor and optimize data systems to ensure high performance and efficient data processing and access.
Establish and enforce best practices for data management, including comprehensive documentation and transparent review processes.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in various data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical).
Expertise in designing relational databases, including data normalization and denormalization.
Strong experience in SQL Server development (DDL, Stored Procedures, Views).
Proven experience implementing data catalog and data lineage systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to offer independent solutions as well as collaborate within teams.
Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum Masters/Product Owners and delivering results.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate project status and challenges to team members.
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and work effectively as part of a team.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Purview.
Familiarity with data lakes, data marts, and data warehouses.
Experience working in a Linux-based environment.
Direct experience supporting multiple business units in foundational data work.
Strong understanding of capital markets, particularly within Fixed Income, with hands-on experience modeling data domains in financial markets.
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SAFe development methodology, and DevOps.
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
