The Technical Data Lead will play a pivotal role in driving data initiatives, overseeing the

architecture, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions. This position

requires strong leadership and technical expertise to manage data warehousing, analytics, and

IoT projects, with a primary focus on AWS Redshift and cloud-based technologies. The role

involves designing and optimizing data architectures, leading cross-functional teams, and

ensuring project deliverables align with organizational objectives.

The Technical Data Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders, translate business needs

into technical solutions, and maintain data integrity, security, and governance. The ideal

candidate possesses a combination of technical acumen, project management skills, and

strategic thinking to drive innovation and deliver high-quality outcomes in data-driven

environments.

Technical Skills:
• Expertise in data analysis, designing data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses

(AWS Redshift)
• Proficiency in ETL tools and techniques (AWS Glue Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and cloud database platforms (e.g., Amazon RDS,

DynamoDB).
• Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI
• Expertise in AWS, for data solutions, including Redshift, S3, Glue.
• Knowledge of IoT data collection, processing, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies for project execution.

Soft Skills:
• Leadership and Team Management: Ability to guide and mentor cross-functional teams.
• Communication: Strong ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical

stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to identify and resolve complex data challenges
• Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

Certifications (Recommended):
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (Preferred)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Preferred)
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) (Optional)
• IoT Security Certification

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or

equivalent experience).

Experience:
• 8–12 years of experience in data-related roles, with a focus on data architecture,

analytics, and data warehousing projects.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience in overseeing data teams or projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage data-related projects, including data analytics, data warehousing, and IoT

initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, to

deliver projects within scope.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures, with a focus on AWS

Redshift.
• Provide technical leadership for developing, optimizing, and securing AWS Redshift-based

solutions.
• Define data governance, integration, and management strategies to ensure data quality,

consistency, and compliance with security standards.
• Develop and oversee advanced analytics pipelines to generate actionable insights from

structured and unstructured data.
• Lead the implementation of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) for data visualization

and reporting.
• Oversee the development of efficient ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy,

and adopt best practices in data pipeline automation.
• Lead the integration of IoT solutions for data collection and processing, focusing on

scalability and real-time analytics.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into technical

requirements and presenting progress and insights.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and compliance, establishing

contingency plans to address challenges.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project plans, manage risks, and ensure the

successful delivery of milestones.
