Job Description
SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst Contractor with Cloud-Data experience. This role is responsible for eliciting business needs, performing detailed analyses, documenting processes, modeling workflows, evaluating impacts, prioritizing requests, and collaborating with project teams to successfully deliver new Cloud-Data Lake capabilities.
Essential Duties

Solve complex business problems using business process redesign and cloud computing technologies.
Assess current (AS-IS) processes and develop new processes and workflows to leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) capabilities.
Collaborate with data engineering teams and functional owners to document gap analyses between capabilities, requirements, and needs.
Apply business process re-engineering methodologies for systems modernization.
Develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and a handbook for Data Lake management.
Prepare and present findings, recommendations, operating models, and workflows in consultation with the data engineering team.
Create methodologies to measure process performance against established metrics.
Manage assignments across 1–3 concurrent projects.
Understand business needs and requests, identify solutions, gather information, and translate needs into clear documentation for both business and IT stakeholders.
Work with business users to analyze processes and system issues, transforming them into actionable system improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
Collaborate with project teams and business partners during planning, incremental software delivery reviews, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure accurate implementation of specifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Expertise in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including eliciting/documenting user stories, managing backlogs, and conducting sprint reviews.
Experience in process and data modeling (e.g., process flows, use cases, swimlane diagrams, AS-IS/TO-BE diagrams, mockups, wireframes).
Familiarity with Google Cloud technology (preferred).
Experience in data modeling and process re-engineering.
Knowledge of information security practices.
Understanding of web applications.
Experience with Jira (preferred).

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of IT experience, preferably in enterprise B2B, durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
10+ years of experience in systems analysis, data analysis, and design, with a proven track record of successful large-scale project implementations.
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or equivalent (preferred).
