Data Engineer
Salary: $47.50 to $55.00 hourly
Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida. The role will be primarily focused on migrating and rewriting existing Change Data Capture (CDC) processes in Azure DataFactory and moving existing SQL DB's to Azure PaaS.
Responsibilities
• Utilize Azure Data Factory to replace existing HVR pipelines.
• Migrate and rewrite existing Change Data Capture (CDC) processes in Azure DataFactory.
• Move existing SQL databases to Azure PaaS, specifically Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Manage the capture changes in the same database and move it to a new database using Azure Data Factory.
• Migrate from SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to Azure Data Factory.
• Explore and consider other options for SQL server instances beyond VMs.
• Utilize Azure Databricks, Azure API Management, and Azure Pipelines as part of the data engineering process.
• Assist with setting up SQL CDC on the capture side.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory is required.
• Demonstrable experience with Azure Databricks is essential.
• A strong understanding of Azure API Management is expected.
• Familiarity with Azure Pipelines is a necessary skill.
• Experience with Change Data Capture methodologies is a must.
