Salary: $66.50 to $77.00 hourly

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in Culver City, California. Our company operates in the industry where the use of Apache Kafka, Apache DBT, Redshift Spark, Cloud Technologies, Data Visualization, and Algorithms are common. As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in our team, using your skills to ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of our data systems.

Responsibilities
• Designing and implementing data engineering solutions with the use of Data Build Tool (DBT) and Redshift.
• Utilizing Apache Kafka to ensure the smooth transmission of data across the systems.
• Leveraging Apache DBT to create, manage, and optimize large datasets.
• Using Redshift Spark for enhancing our data warehousing capabilities.
• Deploying cloud technologies to improve data processing and storage systems.
• Implementing data visualization techniques to represent data in a more understandable and accessible format.
• Developing and applying algorithms to improve data quality and efficiency.

Requirements
• Proficiency in using Data Build Tool (DBT) for transforming data in your warehouse
• Extensive experience with Redshift for data warehousing tasks
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain data processing systems
• Solid understanding of database structure principles
• Proficiency in creating data models to meet business needs
• Experience in data acquisition and data mining
• Sound knowledge of data partitioning and clustering
• Proven skills in data cleaning and wrangling to improve data usability
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools
• Demonstrated skills in working with large data sets and databases
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
