Candidate must have 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.BA/ BS Degree is required.Client is seeking a highly experienced, analytical and highly resourceful Data professional with extensive experience in Data Analysis, Business analysis, Data Warehouse, ETL, Data Modeling, Data migration, Data integration and Data Profiling.Selected candidate will be spending 80% of their time performing Data Analysis and 20% of their time performing Design & Data Modeling.Insurance Industry Policy & Claims experience – specifically with Property & Casualty is nice to have.Candidate must have 5-7+ years of experience applying their in-depth Data knowledge and assisting or mentoring other less experienced Data Analyst team members with determining data options.Candidate must have 5-7+ years of experience with Python, SQL scripting, SQL Server and ErWin or other modeling tools.Candidate experience with Snowflake is a nice to have.Candidate must have Agile development experience.Certifications: Data Analyst Certified or other industry certifications (Nice to have)
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Must have 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
Must have 7+ years of experience understanding business requirements, translating them into data requirements, analyzing and designing data processes and assisting in building a solution to support the business requirements.
Must have prior experience systematically applying logical reasoning techniques to query, inspect, cleanse, profile, and study data in structured, semi-structured, and unstructured formats for the purpose of deriving knowledge to support business decision-making and mapping data between source and target systems to support application integrations.
Must have prior experience developing SQL Programming with the ability to perform the most complex queries against relational databases in an efficient manner.
Must have experience building conceptual, logical and physical data models which are visual representations of an enterprise's business data. Experience with ErWin or other modeling tools a plus. Able to build and modify simple data models.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with commensurate experience.
DUTIES:
Performs data analysis, data profiling and data sourcing utilizing knowledge of data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, data sources and the enterprise integrated data environment.
Gathers and documents functional and non-functional data requirements.
Creates, updates, and validates source to target mapping documents.
Analyzes impacts of planned new application development or enhancements to existing applications on legacy and other relational data stores and the enterprise integrated data environment.
Creates conceptual, logical, and physical data models in support of requested changes.
Loads and manages reference data in partnership with business customers.
Analyzes and identifies data quality concerns or cleansing opportunities to correct data quality anomalies and facilitate resolution between technical, business, and other stakeholders.
Ensures deliverables are compliant with Westfield’s data standards.
Serves as a peer mentor to less experienced data analysts

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
