Job Description

The main function of a research engineer is to research and investigate the design functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes. A typical research engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.
• Work with customers and telematics data for data analysis: developing specialized reports, analyzing data, ensuring customers' fleet lists are accurate, and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Occasionally involve customer-facing interactions through Teams, phone calls, and other communication channels.

• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
• 10 years of experience in customer service, project management, data analysis, and data handling.
• Experience with PowerBI and telematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

Work Environment

This position is part of the Construction/Digital/Technology sector, specifically within the Customer Success organization. The role involves working directly under the Work Director and a Team Lead. The role is primarily behind-the-scenes but will occasionally involve customer-facing interactions, mostly through Teams, phone calls, and other communication channels

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00
