Senior Technical Business Analyst – Workers' Compensation
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in Workers' Compensation insurance and data management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring that key business objectives are met. This role will focus on optimizing processes, enhancing system capabilities, and providing data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to gather and document detailed business requirements for Workers’ Compensation systems and applications.
- Analyze Workers’ Compensation processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and automation.
- Develop detailed functional specifications and assist with system design, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical documentation, ensuring clarity for developers and system architects.
- Lead the implementation and integration of Workers' Compensation software solutions, including vendor systems and custom-built applications.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of system enhancements.
- Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI) to interpret Workers’ Compensation data, provide actionable insights, and support decision-making.
- Participate in system testing (UAT) and support end-users with troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Workers' Compensation regulations, claims processing, and industry trends to ensure the solutions are compliant and up-to-date.
- Design and execute data migration strategies, ensuring accuracy and integrity when moving data between systems.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to junior analysts and project teams.

• Required Qualifications

• :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on Workers' Compensation insurance, claims processing, or related fields.
- Strong technical background with experience in data analysis, SQL, and data integration.
- Proven experience working with Workers' Compensation systems, including policy administration, claims management, and reporting tools.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and familiarity with reporting and dashboard creation.
- Expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping, and functional specification development.
- Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation regulations and the ability to translate legal requirements into system functionality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Workers' Compensation software solutions (e.g., Guidewire, ISO, Symbility).
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Advanced data analysis skills using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) or big data tools.
