BI Data Analyst

Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a BI Data Analyst in Gainesville, Florida area. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining systems that empower our organization to utilize data for decision-making. You will engage with data to generate insights, construct reports, and fabricate dashboards.
Responsibilities
Data collection: Oversee the process of collecting data from various sources
Data analysis: Interpret data to identify patterns and trends
Data visualization: Create reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to present data
Data modeling: Build and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy and relevance
Data security: Ensure data is secure and compliant with regulations
Data governance: Implement policies and practices to manage data quality and reliability
Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
Training: Provide training and support to users on how to use BI tools
Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to BI solutions
Skills
Programming: Knowledge of programming languages like Python and SQL
Data visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail: Noticing trends in data
Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills
Collaboration: Ability to work well with others
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a BI Data Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in using Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL for database querying.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business strategies.
• Good communication skills to effectively present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
