Overview:

This position is responsible for optimizing automation and semi-automation of processes comprised of existing and likely to be built Alteryx workflows and SQL queries. The successful candidate will (a) improve and tie together routines that are currently in-house and (b) create new functionalities as required by the business. These procedures support sales, strategy, planning, and customer satisfaction. They are instrumental in ETL, data hygiene, data normalization, and appends.

Your deep expertise in Alteryx, ability to understand SQL, and seamlessly use them together will be essential overhauling existing workflows and creating new automations. The ideal architect will proactively assess and creatively respond to possibilities while accounting for inherent challenges. Developer responsibilities will go beyond strict adherence to specifications so that they can best accomplish ultimate goals.

You will work with your manager and collaborate with team members to ensure that finalized processes meet business needs. It is expected that communication on a frequent cadence is necessary to optimally complete the objectives of this role.

Qualifications:
• Proven track record and demonstrated success delivering high-impact processes.
• Must have at least intermediate SQL skills including subqueries and Common Table Expressions (“CTEs”).
• Logical thinker capable of focusing on the big picture and the tasks needed to get there.
• Meticulous attention to detail while having a sense of responsibility to produce quality controlled actionable results in a timely manner.
• Motivated team player capable of taking direction and simplifying wherever possible.
• Adept at documenting and training so that workflows can be fully accessible, understood and functional for execution and future enhancements by Company associates.

Primary Software, Techniques, and Tools You’ll Utilize:
• PC-based Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Intelligence Suite, specifically Alteryx Location Insights US Spatial for address standardization, matching, and geocoding.
• Alteryx tools that will be utilized include

• In-Database tools are suggested for processing speed and size management where appropriate
• The contractor is welcome to introduce to the process unused tools that advance meeting its goals.
• Implementation of regular expression (“REGEX”) and other flexible substring matches such as fuzzy match and wildcards are relevant for resolving data inconsistencies across data sources.
• Alteryx macros (.yxmc) and Alteryx database files (.yxdb) throughout .yxmd files
• SQL database on Snowflake
