Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Database Developer III to lead our database development efforts. In this senior role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of SQL databases. Your expertise will be critical in managing database applications and reports, providing guidance to junior developers, and leading initiatives to optimize and fine-tune complex database queries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the determination of database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming, and evaluating existing systems.

Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous ad-hoc requests from users in a fast-paced environment.

Design, code, and implement complex business processes within T-SQL, including advanced stored procedures, views, functions, and .NET integration.

Proactively maintain database performance, identifying and resolving production and application development issues.

Spearhead the development and proposal of advanced database solutions, emphasizing security, backup, and recovery.

Mentor junior team members and guide them in optimizing stored procedures and Transact-SQL queries.

Utilize SQL monitoring software for comprehensive performance analysis.

Develop, maintain, and oversee ETL processes for production and test environments.

Lead Application Lifecycle Management activities and ensure successful test to production deployments.

Deliver exceptional service by deeply understanding the company's business, promptly responding to internal customer needs, and maintaining meticulous issue tracking and reporting.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Applicable industry certifications such as MCSE: Data Management and Analytics.

7+ years of extensive experience with MS SQL Server in a senior DBA or equivalent role.

Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL, SQL replication, ADO, and advanced stored procedure development.

Proven track record of working in large financial and accounting environments.

In-depth knowledge and experience in coding and supporting .NET applications.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.

History of successfully implementing complex database solutions.

Technical Experience:

Exceptional technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, with a strong focus on database development and optimization.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS).

Extensive experience in developing company reporting and dashboards using Microsoft standard tools such as Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Proven skills in working with Microsoft Dynamics, CRM, and SharePoint.

Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE and Hyperion Essbase is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members in technical best practices.

Microsoft Experience & Licenses and Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (if working with Azure services extensively).

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (for those handling data engineering tasks).

Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate (relevant for professionals working on data pipelines and ETL processes).

Advanced certifications in Microsoft SQL Server, such as:
