Title: Technical Business Analyst with strong SQL
Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 9 Months + (Potential C2H)
Details from Manager:
This is a contract role, with potential for FTE conversion in the future, but likely not in 2025, and no guarantees. Standard rules apply, in-office position, Stamford, 1-day WFH policy. Prefer folks w/ permanent work status in the US, however, I ll consider other candidates since there would be a long runway to conversion anyways.
Here is a quick summary I wrote up:
Hybrid Analyst/Developer: Work directly with business stakeholders to own the discovery and MVP implementation of low to medium scale/complexity projects. Work directly in the database to create initial prototypes of new metrics or reporting. Share results with stakeholders, detect and triage initial issues and concerns, iterate, and recommend more effective approaches. Ensure work is adding value to the business, has good justification, and is solving real problems or measuring performance of key initiatives. Fully document these requirements to a state that is ready to be signed off on in a BRD. Work to transition MVP solution to a developer so that it can be implemented in the production layer in a robust, durable fashion consistent with BI standards.
Key concepts: Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solver, understands ownership, self-motivated, outside-the-box thinking is encouraged.

No real need for Python. Strong SQL is very desirable. Writing some stored procedures for MVP implementations, and data analysis. Need someone who s a good analyst first, strong communicator, curious, critical thinker and skilled enough as a developer that they can implement the 1st/2nd pass of prototypes.
