Tableau Developer

12+ month contract (W2 ONLY-NO C-C)

Plano (Hybrid – onsite 3 days a week)

Job Description:

Must-Have Requirements:
• Tableau: At least 5 years of hands-on experience building interactive and insightful dashboards.
• SQL: A minimum of 3 years of experience in querying data using SQL.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of visual analytics tools, dashboards, and reports primarily in Tableau for clients marketing teams, collaborating closely with back-end data engineers.
• Take ownership of end-to-end dashboard development, including creating complex calculations such as Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, action filters, user filters, and implementing advanced Tableau dashboard practices.
• Showcase and apply Tableau's capabilities, including multi-source dashboards, data blending, table calculations, advanced calculated fields, and custom visuals.
• Identify data quality issues and assist in the governance of data with the IT Cx team to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Respond to ad-hoc analytical needs, providing tailored solutions and helping to interpret data insights.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and roadblocks clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with strong quantitative coursework.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in building data visualizations and interactive dashboards using Tableau.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in working with relational databases and writing custom SQL queries.
• Intermediate proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage, analyze, and present large volumes of data accurately and in a detailed manner.
• Proficiency in Power BI (Intermediate level).
• Proficiency in Alteryx (Intermediate level).
• Advanced SQL skills, including querying and managing data from platforms like SQL Server.
