Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our on-premises high availability SQL Server Availability Group clusters, standalone SQL Server instance, and Azure-based data infrastructure. This role will also include SQL development work for mission-critical applications and the Access Indiana migration to Tyler ID.
Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain high availability SQL Server Availability Group clusters.
Manage and maintain a standalone SQL Server instance.
Work with Azure Data Factory and the Azure data warehouse to ensure optimal performance and integration.
Provide SQL development and optimization for mission-critical applications, including query tuning and performance improvements.
Support the migration of Access Indiana to Tyler ID.
Ensure database backups, restores, and other maintenance activities are performed regularly.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper database design and efficient SQL queries.
Work on database security, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience with SQL Server, including Availability Groups and clustering.
Experience in maintaining and supporting Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Warehousing.
Proficiency in SQL development, including performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience in database migration, particularly in cloud environments such as Azure.
Knowledge of data backup and recovery strategies.
Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SQL Server-related issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Access Indiana or Tyler ID migration is a plus.
Excellent communication skills.

Desired Experience:

3+ years of experience as an SQL DBA or similar role.
Experience with mission-critical application database support.
Familiarity with cloud-based databases and hybrid infrastructure setups.
