

Snowflake Data Engineer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer for a 6-month interim contract. This role is essential in enhancing our data infrastructure and optimizing our data management practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with Snowflake and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Customer Workshops: Lead workshops with clients to discuss best practices and optimization strategies, focusing on materialized views, clustering techniques, and search optimization to maximize Snowflake's capabilities.
• Data Governance Initiatives: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data governance. Develop solutions aligned with Snowflake's Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies, including tag-based masking, dynamic masking, and row-level masking to protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data categories.
• Migration Strategy Design: Create and implement migration patterns to Snowflake, utilizing multi-hop strategies. Evaluate both lift-and-shift and modernization approaches for structured and semi-structured datasets to ensure a seamless transition.
• ETL Pipeline Solutions: Design and provide solutions for complex ETL pipelines using Snowflake's Streams and Tasks, ensuring efficient data processing and integration.
• Observability Framework Implementation: Develop and implement an Observability Framework leveraging Snowflake's native features and cloud platform capabilities to enhance the resilience of data-driven applications.
