JustinBradley’s client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team and support their AWS Cloud applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps automation using GitLab and Terraform, with a focus on end-to-end automation of CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery, automated security scans, and implementing Blue-Green deployment strategies for minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

   • Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Terraform, and other CI/CD tools to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.

   • Set up and manage single-click release pipelines for build/deployment, integrating security scans and automated tests.

   • Execute software builds and deployments using CI/CD pipelines across lower environments and production releases, leveraging Blue-Green deployment strategies to minimize downtime.

   • Set up and optimize applications in the AWS Cloud environment, including services like ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, S3, SQS, SNS, Route 53, and CloudFront. Implement resiliency for failover and failback in multi-region environments.

   • Coordinate, manage, and perform production releases, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices.

   • Troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with CI/CD pipelines and AWS applications, providing after-hours support for production releases.

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application environments are functioning efficiently and meeting business requirements.

   • Identify and implement continuous improvements to minimize downtime, improve production stability, and enhance DevOps practices.

Requirements:

   • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a strong focus on automation and AWS Cloud technologies.

   • Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Terraform, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and UCD (UrbanCode Deploy).

   • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, SQS, SNS, and Route 53.

   • Strong scripting skills in Python for process automation and writing Terraform modules for AWS provisioning.

   • Experience with Blue-Green deployment strategies and implementing resiliency in multi-region environments.

   • Skilled in troubleshooting operating errors and resolving issues with a high sense of urgency and ownership.

   • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various teams effectively.

   • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

   • Experience with security scans like HP Fortify, Nexus IQ, Twistlock, and DAST.

   • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and related AWS services.

   • Proficiency with logging and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

   • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

   • Knowledge of build automation tools like Gradle, Maven, and Angular.
