Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Senior Data Subject Matter Expert for an opportunity we are pursuing in support of Government-Wide Acquisition Services Program. This is a Contingent Hire position tentatively to start 9 June 2025 for a five-year contract.

The Senior Data SME is responsible for oversight of the category Management Program Management Office contractor data support team. The SME will serve as an advisor to GSA and OMB executives on matters related to spend data. The Candidate will be responsible for the development of accurate and high-quality dashboards that will be published to USASpend.gov.

The Senior Data SME will be the senior expert, data analyst, and will possess extensive knowledge and experience developing and applying data analytic methodologies and principles and will lead the application of analytic techniques and help define project objectives and strategic direction.

The SME will be responsible for providing leadership and vision to client and project teams around the methodology and resolves complex problems, which require an in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience working with government-wide data systems to extract, cleanse and analyze government spend data, specifically regarding category management.
Experience using SQL, mySQL, Oracle, postgreSQL, Python, PySpark, R, Tableau to extract, cleanse, analyze and visualize spend data for government-wide category management use.
Specialize in cloud-based IT projects, infrastructure oversight, application support, risk management, and security auditing.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working with GSA and OMB category management executives.
Experience analyzing government-wide spending data and developing associated dashboards or executive briefings to inform decision-making related to government-wide category management.
