Senior Data Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Data Warehousing and Advanced SQL to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable data pipelines, designing efficient data models, and optimizing SQL queries for performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Development
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Implement data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.) to store and process large datasets.
• Design and maintain star and snowflake schema-based data models for analytical workloads.
SQL Development & Optimization
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for high-performance data processing.
• Analyze and tune query performance, indexing strategies, and partitioning techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues to ensure system efficiency.
Data Governance & Security
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems.
• Implement data security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and masking.
• Develop and maintain data cataloging and lineage tracking for improved data governance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Teams to understand data requirements and optimize workflows.
• Partner with Cloud Engineers, DevOps, and Software Engineers to integrate data solutions into the larger ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior data engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Development, or related fields.
• Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with Data Warehousing technologies (Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Teradata, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization/denormalization).
• Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, and query execution plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
