Our client is looking for an Senior Data Analytics Professional (IC5) to lead strategic costing analysis and deliver actionable financial insights. This role will focus on evaluating Strategic Funding Initiatives (SFIs) across various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Lines of Business (LOBs), ensuring sound financial decision-making, efficiency, and data integrity. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and advanced analytics to help drive business performance and support long-term strategic planning.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
• Perform detailed costing analyses on SFIs across multiple SBUs and LOBs to assess financial impact and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to track key cost drivers, performance indicators, and ROI.
• Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Business Operations teams to optimize financial planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
• Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all financial reporting.
• Deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to inform cost management strategies and revenue forecasting.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize financial and operational KPIs related to strategic initiatives.
• Identify financial trends, outliers, and areas for cost improvement using analytical tools and methodologies.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring strategic alignment with financial goals.
• Apply statistical methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to enhance forecasting accuracy and risk mitigation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analytics, cost modeling, and business performance analysis.
• Proven expertise in FP&A, cost accounting, and evaluating large-scale strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing financial data across multiple SBUs and business functions.
• Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
• Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros for financial modeling.
• Solid understanding of variance analysis, forecasting methods, and cost accounting principles.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ERP and financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
PREFERRED
• Experience working in global or multi-regional organizations with complex financial structures.
• Exposure to machine learning techniques for cost prediction and revenue optimization.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CBIP, or CAP.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Google BigQuery, Azure).
Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• Hourly range is $60/hr - $70/hr based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
