Job Overview

We are currently looking to hire an Agile Senior Business/Data Analyst within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team, which is a part of LPL’s Technology organization. This position is responsible for supporting high profile regulatory projects and efforts as a business analyst, adhering to an enterprise-wide data governance framework to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, understanding, and protection of data. Attention to detail is a MUST.

Responsibilities

We are looking a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented. The Agile Senior Business/Data Analyst for the Regulatory Reporting Team must work with the Product Owner to thoroughly understanding the business requirements and our various data sources, and write Jira Stories in a way that the developers can create the required data extracts.
• Participate in all related meetings including daily SCRUM calls and provides direction and feedback based on direction and input from Product Owner
• Receive all of the regulatory request each day
• Works with Business and Product Owner to clarify requirements.
• Works with Product Owner to define data requirements and document acceptance criteria
• Raises requirement issues / risks to manager for resolution
• Write up the JIRA tickets – average of 7 daily
• Is available to the team to provide guidance and feedback
• Have the opportunity to run reports in SSRS, OBIEE, or Tableau in order to fulfill the request.
• Have the opportunity to run SQL in Snowflake, SSMS and Oracle if the person has that skillset.
• May perform data validation during UAT/PO Review of output file after it has gone through QA.
• And finally, send the vetted output files to business in secure manner with appropriate documentation.

Requirements
• 4+ years’ experience as a Business or Data Analyst in a Data Management organization.
• Strong knowledge of SQL utilizing Snowflake, SSMS, Oracle, or other tool.
• Experience as End User with SSRS, Tableau, OBIEE or other reporting tools.
• Familiar with database design and development methodologies.

Preferences
• Financial services industry experience is a huge plus
