Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Colibra Data Governance Architect with exceptional expertise in the Colibra platform to lead strategic data governance initiatives at the enterprise level. This high-impact role requires a highly experienced professional who can provide thought leadership and oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Colibra across our organization. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Colibra, capable of driving complex solutions for data governance, data privacy, and metadata management, while ensuring the platform aligns with evolving business needs. This role will have direct influence on the design and execution of our enterprise-wide data governance strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and end-to-end implementation of Colibra Data Governance solutions for complex, large-scale enterprises.
Architect and configure the Colibra platform, ensuring seamless integration with other data management systems (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, BI tools).
Drive the customization of Colibra modules, such as Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Catalog, and Data Quality, tailoring them to the organization’s unique needs.
Provide advanced solutions architecture for automating governance workflows, data quality monitoring, data privacy compliance, and stewardship processes within Colibra.
Take ownership of the strategic direction of Colibra usage across the organization, setting best practices, policies, and governance frameworks that promote data quality and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and lead a team of data governance professionals, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ensuring successful platform adoption.
Act as a trusted advisor for senior leadership, providing expert guidance on Colibra best practices and the evolving role of data governance in the enterprise.
Manage platform performance, ensuring optimal operation of Colibra’s features and addressing any operational issues proactively.
Develop and present regular reports on data governance performance, system health, and usage metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals and data compliance requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (data engineering, analytics, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders) to define and implement Colibra-driven data governance initiatives.
Stay updated with Colibra platform updates, industry trends, and regulatory changes, continuously evolving our data governance strategy to stay ahead of the curve.
Provide on-site leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
20+ years of experience in data governance and platform architecture, with a minimum of 10 years working directly with Colibra.
Deep expertise in Colibra's core modules: Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Catalog, and Data Quality, with hands-on experience in configuration and integration.
Extensive experience architecting and implementing large-scale Colibra solutions, with a focus on enterprise data governance.
In-depth understanding of metadata management, data lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows using Colibra.
Proven ability to integrate Colibra with other data management technologies, ensuring a unified data governance ecosystem.
Advanced Colibra certifications (e.g., Colibra Certified Data Governance Professional, Colibra Certified Platform Expert) strongly preferred.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and organizational challenges related to the Colibra platform.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical teams toward successful adoption of Colibra and data governance best practices.
Expertise in data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and implementing compliance frameworks in Colibra.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) and the ability to manage complex, multi-team projects.
Ability to work Hybrid in Atlanta, GA — this role requires full-time 3days presence.
