Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior AWS Engineer to join our client's team, where you will deliver technical expertise in cloud infrastructure design, development, coding, testing, and debugging. This senior-level role involves working closely with architects and business teams to create scalable solutions that meet business needs, while applying best practices for cloud technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Write and maintain code, and coordinate with offshore teams/vendors daily.
• Collaborate with architects and business teams to ensure alignment of IT solutions with business initiatives.
• Lead cloud infrastructure projects, from planning to implementation.
• Implement cloud engineering best practices for AWS environments.
• Lead design and coding sessions, resolving any technical conflicts.
• Work with business analysts to determine system requirements and resolve any software issues.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise coding standards.
• Stay current on new AWS technologies and share learning with the team.

Must-Haves:
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years in software engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EC2, etc.)
• Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL like DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Strong expertise in containers (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS).
• Proficient in Python.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (VPC, Subnet, Security Groups).
• Experience in security (WAF, Encryption, SSO, MFA).
• Familiar with performance/reliability solutions (Auto-scaling, ALB, NLB).
• Knowledge of data storage (EFS, S3, Snowflake, SQL).
• Experience with integration technologies (REST, API, Synch, Asynch).
• Familiar with observability tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, DataDog).
• Ability to perform code reviews and adhere to enterprise coding standards.

Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on team growth and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues using logs, services, and resources.

Nice to Haves:
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Glue).
• Exposure to Angular, Node.js.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning fundamentals and MLOps.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
