Senior AWS Developer
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior AWS Developer in Houston, TX. Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Developer with 7-10+ years of experience in developing and integrating applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills with extensive experience in AWS services, and the ability to develop and support data pipelines.
Requirements
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines with large data sets using AWS services such as AWS GLue, Lambda, Event Bridge, Step functions, SNS, SQS, S3
• Experience working with APIs and data extraction techniques
• Experience with Amazon ECS and ECR for containerization
• In-depth understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies, and cloud security principles
• Strong Python development skills, including PySpark - Advanced SQL query writing and performance tuning for AWS Redshift and other industry leading RDMS such MS SQL Server, Postgres
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and methodologies
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (AWS QuickSight, Power BI, or Spotfire)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
